Continuation of official visit to Kyoto city of Japan

the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon arrived to Kyoto Prefecture. In the Governmental Residence was hosted official welcoming ceremony Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon by the Governor of Kyoto Prefecture Nishiwaki Takatoshi and Kyoto city’s Mayor Daisaku Kadokawa. During his welcoming speech President of Tajikistan highly evaluated the level cooperation of Tajikistan and Japan and expressed satisfaction from their rapid growth and expansion. After sincerely welcoming of the senior representatives the government of Prefecture and City of Kyoto, the official visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon was begun from Nijō Castle in this ancient city. Here Head of the State Emomali Rahmon paid attention to growth of fruit and shadowy trees in the gardens. In Kyoto exist 17 historical points and Nijō Castle was designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The founder of the Nijō Castle is Tokugawa Ieyasu and its construction was begun from 1601 and finished in 1626. The surface area of the castle is 275,000 square meters, of which 8,000 square meters is occupied by buildings. The main area of the castle consists from different historical buildings and gardens. In the center of castle located Ninomaru Palace. The Nijō Castle was constructed as the Imperator residence of Kyoto city. Imperial Palace is located north-east of Nijō Castle. In 1939 Nijō Castle became resting ad visiting places. The castle area has several gardens and groves of cherry and Japanese plum trees. The Ninomaru garden was designed by the landscape architect and tea master Kobori Enshū.
